a conversation between James Jean and Kenichi Hoshine.
Kwoon - I lived on the Moon (via poulpemou)
This is the most beautiful animation I’ve seen in a while. Every scene by Yannick Puig matches ever sound by Kwoon.
since feeling is first
who pays attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you
wholly to be a fool
while Spring is in the world
my blood approves,
and kisses are a better fate
than wisdom
lady i swear by all flowers. Don’t cry
-the best gesture of my brain is less than
your eyelids’ flutter which says
we are for each other: then
laugh, leaning back in my arms
for life’s not a paragraph
and death i think is no parenthesis
e.e. cummings, since feeling is first
Have I mentioned that I have a huge crush on Henrique Lima?
I have a huge crush on Henrique Lima.
So much so that not only is it kind of creepy, but as soon as I caught sight of a piece by a duo called Mulheres Barbadas, I knew one half of that duo had to be him.

Activate’s photo of the day; Thai Buddhists carrying candles encircle a large Buddha statue on Asanha Puja Day, the eve of the Buddhist lent, on the outskirts of Bangkok. The image, taken on July 17, 2008, captures the light trails of the moving candles.
Photographed by Adrees Latif.

At Souvlaki Space Station, Joao Ruas (from Brazil—have I mentioned before that all the best/all my favorite artists and illustrators are coming out of Brazil? Like an art hothouse) shows off his latest.
A bit of James-Jean-ish fantasy, with a scifi twist = awesome.

This one’s a simple google image search for Kay Nielsen. His illustrations for East of the Sun, West of the Moon are especially beautiful, and right now, I can’t get enough of his work.
For the wiki: He was a Danish illustrator who lived during the “golden age of illustration”…

To be frank, Aleks Sennwald’s work is awesome.
This, I arrived at via Kyu Hwang’s blog, one strange morning. (Expect me to blog about Kyu again once his portfolio’s up and running.)
